What this website collects, why, and how long it is kept.

What we hold

Examination records: student name, roll number, register number, class, madrasa, examination centre, subject marks and result. These are supplied to the mekhala by the madrasas and by the DKIMV Board, and are the records from which marksheets are produced.

Contact enquiries: the name, email address, optional telephone number and message you submit through the contact form, along with the IP address the submission came from.

Administrative accounts: username, name, email address and a password hash for staff with access to the admin panel, plus an audit record of the actions they take.

What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party marketing pixels.
  • We do not sell, rent or share examination records with third parties.
  • We do not require an account, an email address or a telephone number to check a result.
  • Video embeds use the no-cookie YouTube domain and load only when you press play.

Cookies

Visitors to the public site are not given any cookie. Staff who sign in to the admin panel receive two: a session cookie that keeps them signed in, and a token used to protect against cross-site request forgery. Both are removed at sign-out.

Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the result search and contact form from automated abuse, may set a short-lived token in your browser. It is used only to confirm the request came from a person and carries no advertising identifier.

Result searches

A result search is not linked to you. We do not record which roll numbers were searched or by whom. IP addresses are used transiently to enforce rate limits — counters expire automatically within the hour and are not associated with any search.

A marksheet's verification page shows the candidate name, roll number, class, madrasa and pass status to anyone holding the verification ID. Subject marks are never shown there. Verification pages are excluded from search engine indexing.

Retention

Examination records are retained indefinitely as the permanent register of the mekhala, which is what allows a former student to obtain a duplicate marksheet years later. Contact enquiries are retained for two years. Administrative audit logs are retained for seven years.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask for a contact enquiry to be deleted. Corrections to an examination record follow the discrepancy procedure — report it to the office within fifteen days of publication.
